Board Vacancy

The Lovington Municipal Schools Board of Education is seeking qualified applicants to fill a vacancy on the Board. Per board policy and state statute, the person must be a qualified elector of this state and must physically reside in the District. 

The appointed individual will serve the remaining portion of the term which ends December 31, 2027, and will have the option to run for election in November 2027 to continue serving in the position after December 31, 2027.

 

Letters of Interest can be mailed in or delivered in person, addressed to the LMS Board of Education, 18 W. Washington, Lovington,  NM 88260. Letters will be accepted until 4:00 pm on Thursday, August 20, 2026. Letters received after that date/time will not be considered.

SCHOOL BOARD MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT

 

The Lovington Municipal Schools Board of Education will have a Regular Board Meeting on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 5:00 pm in the Community Room of the District’s Central Office located at 18 W. Washington, Lovington, New Mexico. The agenda will be available online at www.lovingtonschools.net or at the Office of the Superintendent at 18 West Washington, Lovington, NM, 72 hours prior to the meeting.
